The Healing of the Ten Lepers

Today’s story involved 10 lepers and we started off with a ‘hopping on one leg and not touching one another’ game to get a glimpse of the difficulty of life for those with this disease. We looked at some pictures and talked about how those with leprosy were treated and how in Jesus’ time they had to live outside the city. We heard the story of Jesus meeting ten of them and healing all of them as they made their way to the priest. All were cleansed and healed and able to live normal lives again but only one (a Samaritan) came back and said thank you.

The children made some great pictures with groovy plasters as the ten lepers and Jesus healing them.

Think about: Do you remember to say thank you to Jesus for the things he has done? Think of something this week to be thankful for and tell him!

Thank God that treatment for leprosy is free and available all around the world now. Pray that all those who need it can access it and recognise symptoms early enough.
