Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego

Welcome everyone! Here is a question for you – can you tell me who might protect you?

How about – your parents? The Police? Your teacher? This week we follow on from Daniel and take a look at three of his friends who were protected by God. They believed in him and were obedient to him despite the consequences. Take a look at the following video to find out who they were and check out a fun experiment!

To find out more about the story, take a look at this entertaining video:

Can you imagine making a King angry? Nebuchadnezzar was so angry that he tried to punish Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego but God protected them and showed the King that he is the true God. We should worship only him and sometimes God wants us to stand up for what we believe in.

Look at the next video to see how to make a Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego fire picture and also to find out what happened with our experiment!

Here is the template to make your figures.

Did you guess correctly what would happen to the 2p pieces? Have fun making your own fiery furnace picture. Send a picture of your creations for us to see!

See if you can find some words in the Bible that describe God’s protection of us. They should be easy to find as they are all in Psalms. Open your Bible roughly in the middle! If you need help the answers are at the bottom.
