The 180 youth team presented the results of their autumn term’s work to the rest of Forefront Community Church on Sunday 10 November 2019. It’s a hand-drawn timeline of the Bible, illustrated in various styles, placing key Bible stories in their appropriate places. It also traces out the history of major themes, such as mercy, justice, the “upside-down” kingdom, God’s use of sent people and refugees, and the developing way in which he reveals himself to his people. Highlights of the artwork include the Book of Judges summed up in a simple comic strip, a very angry Jesus with the money-changers in the Temple, and a cute PG-rated version of David spying on Bathsheba. We’ll display the timeline once more this Sunday in church, then find a way to make it available in Forefront Centre.
