This week, we started off playing ten plagues dominoes to remind ourselves of each one in the Israelites’ escape from Egypt. We also put together some props for the story so each child could contribute at the relevant point in the story. So we heard how God called Moses from the burning bush and how he led the people out after God gave Pharaoh plague after plague and chance after chance to do the right thing. The children made some colourful flies on straws that shoot off the end with a quick breath. We had lots of files zipping around the room! They also made an Egypt plague wheel to show them all in the correct order.
Think about: We talked about Pharaoh not listening to God, unlike Moses who heard God and did what he said – even when he was scared. What can we do to help us listen to God?
