We heard the story of another of the miracles Jesus performed. Despite his sorrow over the death of his cousin, John the Baptist, he still had compassion for the people following him. He healed their sick and later in the day when it was time to eat he took 2 small fish and 5 loaves and fed at least 5,000 people with it. Plus there was lots left over!
The children had a choice of crafts to remind them of the story – a fridge magnet basket of bread and fish to make, colour and decorate or a messier craft of a larger basket of bread and fish which involved finger painting the bread. They came up with some great designs and you can see some of their work below.
Think about: Can you think of a way or ways you could help provide someone with needs this week? Perhaps your time, a gift, a smile – get creative!
