Talk about it
How do you think Daniel and his friends felt when they were taken to a new country? What do you think would have been hard for them?
This next video shows a bit more detail about a very famous part of Daniel’s life. Before you watch it, see if you can tell someone else in your house about Daniel and the Lion’s Den. Then watch the video to see if you can learn something new!
Talk about it
Why do you think Daniel kept praying to God even though he knew he would get in trouble for it? How do you think Daniel felt when he was with the lions?
Remember it
We’ve had this verse before, but it’s great to remember that God is always with us, even if we’re facing something new or scary!
“Don’t be afraid, because the Lord your God will be with you everywhere you go.” Joshua 1:9
To help you remember it, write each word in a different colour on a piece of paper. Cut up the paper to make a jigsaw. Jumble the pieces and see how quickly you can put them back together!
Pray
Dear God, thank you for the story of Daniel and his friends. Thank you that you looked after them when they chose to follow you, even though they could have been in a lot of trouble. Please help me to trust you too, and to remember that you’re always with me. Amen.

Make a roaring lion with some hidden bible verses inside.
One of the ways that Daniel and his friends followed God was by eating vegetables instead of food that had been offered to idols. This week, see how many different types of vegetables you can eat! Stick a piece of paper on your fridge, then each day draw a picture of the vegetables you’ve eaten.
Make a picture of your favourite food – draw a plate onto paper or card. Draw, paint or collage some of your favourite food. You could cut food pictures out of magazines or stick things like dried pasta or beans on to make it 3D!
