Chard Churches Together celebrated the annual Walk of Witness together on Good Friday, with an estimated 130 people from the Christian churches in Chard in procession through the town to observe the start of the most important weekend in the Church’s traditional calendar. Starting at Chard Baptist Church with a commissioning led by Forefront Community Church’s Nigel Marsh, the procession stopped at the Guildhall to be greeted by the Mayor, Cllr Dave Bulmer, with prayers led by Fr Basil Postlethwaite of the English Martyrs Catholic Church. Concluding at the Anglican Church of the Good Shepherd, Fr Jeff Williams gave a short message. Pictured: Fr Basil and Cllr Bulmer lead prayers at Chard Guildhall.
