We had such a good first week of Nativity Club! It was brilliant to have some new children join us, and they were a really great group. Each week, we’re going to learn about a Christmas tradition that doesn’t appear in the Bible, but can still help us to remember something about Jesus. This week’s tradition was Christmas trees. We had fun turning pine cones into trees with colourful pipe cleaners and pompoms and weaving with strips of paper to decorate a tree.
After learning some facts about how the tradition of Christmas trees started, we played a fun game where one person in each team had to be decorated like a tree, complete with a star on top! We loved seeing each team’s approach to the challenge, and ended up with some brilliant trees!
If you weren’t at Nativity Club, come along to the Nativity Service on 14th December where we’ll be sharing all our fun facts.
