…in a jumbo jet!

We started off making paper aeroplanes and had a flying session with varying results. Let’s just say the children trashed the adults! We talked about where we have been in one and where we would go if we could. We came up with ideas for where an airplane could not go, and amongst other options we realised that you can’t get to heaven in one!

With some nifty cutting our airplane became a cross and we then read the story of Jesus dying on the cross for us. The only way to get to heaven – to believe he died for us and ask for and accept his forgiveness. The children also made a story cross and did some excellent work in making their own paper beads to complete a salvation bracelet.

Think about: See if you can remember what the beads on your necklace represent. Jesus dying on the cross for us is one of most important things to know about as a Christian.
