The Last Supper

We started with a guessing game pulling objects out of a bag – bread, a towel, water, a bottle of wine (empty!), 30 pieces of silver, and sandals. With some prompts, the children guessed it was the story of Jesus washing his disciples feet, Judas betraying Jesus, and the last supper. While the disciples were busy arguing, Jesus showed them how much he loved them by doing the dirtiest job normally done by the lowliest servant. And he told them to love each other in the same way.

The children made a craft as reminder of the last supper, and what the bread and wine means.

Think about: how can you show love in a really practical way like Jesus did. Try to surprise someone by doing a job you don’t really want to do!
