Every Thursday in October, the NHS are running a hub at Forefront checking people’s livers. You may not think you need yours checking, but if you’ve ever done any of the following, it could be worth popping in:
- had a blood transfusion before 1996
- had dental or medical treatment abroad
- had a tattoo or piercing on holiday or done by a friend
- drunk or smoked heavily, have a high BMI, raised cholesterol or diabetes
- injected drugs or shared any drug-taking equipment
- had close contact with anyone known to have (or at high risk of) Hep C
- been street homeless or in prison
Drop in between 10.30 and 2.30pm any Thursday in October, and receive a £5 Tesco voucher for every test.
