Rocks and Topz talked about some of the impossible things that Jesus did. Last week he calmed a storm just by talking to it, and this week he fed 5000 people with one packed lunch! The children were all familiar with the story, but enjoyed having their own version of the picnic – bread rolls with tinned mackerel.
Sometimes we feel like we don’t have enough to be much use to God. But, as one of the children pointed out, until the boy handed over his lunch, Jesus had nothing at all! He took the not-enough that the boy offered and made it more than enough to feed 5000 people – with leftovers! If we’re willing to give God the little we have, we never know what he might do with it.
Think about: What other impossible things has God done? Make a list of as many as you can think of.
