As the weather was hot, Rocks and Topz met outside and started off with some water fun. Our story was about John the Baptist and him baptising Jesus. We talked about deserts and the children came up with stories they could recall from the Bible that have water in them in some way. We then read the story and chatted about how John might have felt and the people around who saw what happened and heard the voice of God.
The children made some great doily doves in a couple of creative formats.
Think about: Can recall any other times in the Bible that the audible voice of God was heard? What other ways can we hear from God?
