15th August – Hope and Peace

We are now in our third week of ‘area groups’, with our cautious post-COVID return-to-worship meeting in three locations in town. Please continue with masks and spacing and join us if you are able.

For those who are on holiday, or unable to meet with us in person for other reasons, we continue to offer our notices, the Bible reading of the week, and our speaker. This week, David gives us a welcome and some notices; Anisa reads Psalm 62; and Dave draws some thoughts together from it on “hope and peace”, as part of this month’s series on “journeying towards emotional and spiritual wellbeing”. Please worship with us at 10:30am on Sunday using this link

To prepare your hearts before the service there are three songs below to remind you of some of the themes from Psalm 62. We all find our salvation in God and he is our source of hope and peace. Let’s raise a Hallelujah to that!

The Lord is my salvation Keith and Kristyn Getty 5:09

Goodness of God  Rhett Walker 4:10

Raise a Hallelujah Bethel Music 4:24

Truly my soul finds rest in God;
my salvation comes from him.
