Rocks, Topz and Pebbles set sail in our blanket boat from Caesarea to Rome as we heard the story of some of Paul’s journey as a prisoner. We dropped sea anchors, threw cargo, grain and tackle overboard, put ropes underneath and pulled in the lifeboat. All was in vain however as the ship neared land, hit a sandbank and broke up. (Luckily all the children could swim so we made it to shore). God had told Paul that all who stayed with the ship till the end would live and everyone survived.
We then found sticks for a fire but when throwing his on the pile, Paul was bitten by a snake. Everyone watched to see if he would die but he remained in perfect health and then proceeded to heal sick people on the island. Just part of one chapter in Acts, this is an amazing story of God using Paul in all circumstances.
The children made some snazzy paper chain snakes and came up with some fun names for them.
