We read the story that Jesus told about hidden treasure. The man who found it sold everything he had so he could buy something even more valuable. Jesus was teaching about God’s kingdom (anywhere where God is king) and how being with God is the most important thing in the world – and worth so much more than anything we might have to give up. We also talked about how we are precious to God, and Jesus paid the price for us to be able to return to him. God’s our treasure, and we are his!
We made treasure chests filled with sparkly jewels and a reminder of the story.
