After finding some odd items and a pass the parcel game, the children worked out our theme – Jesus healing sick people. We talked about a few but specifically the story of the Roman centurion and how Jesus healed his servant from Luke 7. This all happened without them meeting each other which made it even more amazing!
The children made some matchbox figures of the six people in the story (not including Jesus) and we used them later to make a domino chain. It was hard not to set them off though! We talked about the chain of people in the story and how each one led to the next.
Perhaps this week the children could choose one of the other healings of Jesus and have a read of the story.
