After a game of ‘fill the well’ we looked at the story of the Samaritan woman meeting Jesus at the well. How Jesus ignored the rules of the day and conversed with her and how her life was changed. Offering living water over normal water was a tricky concept to grasp but we talked about believing in Jesus being the key. Normal water soon has us thirsty again but living water is never ending and shows us the promise of eternal life. The effect on the Samaritan woman was profound and caused her to immediately want others to hear the good news!
The children made some stylish pictures with sliders to move from no water, to normal water to living water. Maybe chat this week about what it means to have ‘living water’ from Jesus.
