This week in Rocks and Topz we read the story of the feeding of the 5000. We started with some games on the playground, finding pictures of fish and loaves of bread that had been hidden (and thankfully not stolen by seagulls!), then running relay races to see who could get their lunch fastest!
Back inside, we read the story, and then enjoyed our own version of the miraculous picnic! Our bread came from the supermarket and our fish was in tins, but it was a great picnic (especially since we added crisps and oreos!)
We finished the session with some craft, making a picnic lunch bag with bread and fish to remind us of the story.
