Charles speaks from John 11:17- 27, looking at Jesus' claim: I am the Resurrection and the Life. He identifies the difference between some peoples' general vague hope in the afterlife and a believing Christian's certain, clear and personal assurance of Jesus' promises to them.
Charles uses Jesus' words to Martha as a form of appeal to any who have not yet made a step of personal faith to receive Christ as their Lord, Saviour, Resurrection and Life. It is a step that is always good to renew, whoever we are and wherever we our in our journey.
