Victor opened the series ‘The Gospel in Isaiah’, focussing on ‘The Sender and the Sent’, and challenged the belief that faith can be lived in isolation.
Using Isaiah 6:1–8, it was explained that a true encounter with God brings transformation. Isaiah witnesses God’s holiness, power and presence, which leads to deep conviction of his sin. God then cleanses him, demonstrating grace and forgiveness through divine action, pointing to Christ’s redemptive work. This pattern – encounter, conviction, cleansing and calling – reveals the gospel’s transforming power.
Finally, Isaiah responds willingly to God’s call. The message urges believers to move beyond curiosity into transformation, community and mission, answering, “Here am I, send me.”
