Listen to Steve, sharing with us from 2 Corinthians 13:1-14 on 'Tests for Strength and Weakness'
Steve reminded us that although Paul had previously been humiliated and hurt by the Corinthian church he was still passionate about building them up and encouraging them to strive for good. He calls them to test themselves and see if they are solid in the faith. Steve gave us 10 questions to help us do this is in our personal walk:
- Do I believe Jesus is the Son of God?
- I repent of my sin as I have (and still) sin.
- I can trust God to forgive my sin and take me to heaven.
- I choose to submit to Jesus as my master and saviour.
- I love and honour Jesus and want to please him.
- I’m (striving to) sin less and less.
- The fruits of the Spirit are increasing in my life.
- I enjoy being with other believers.
- I have and do experience answered prayers.
- I understand the Bible (with the Holy Spirit's help).
If there are some you feel a bit wobbly on or are not sure you can answer, then ask someone trusted to pray for you. Like Paul, we want all at Forefront to live life to the full and be able to discern God’s will and our purpose in it.
