Mephibosheth

Nigel led us through the story of Mephibosheth (2 Samuel 9:1-13) – dropped as a child and lame in both feet. Despite being a relative of King Saul, when David became King he honoured his promise to Jonathan not to destroy any remaining members of Saul's family (common practice for new leaders in those days to remove any contenders for the throne). Nigel used this as a metaphor for Jesus and us as fallen humanity. Take a listen – it was quite an interactive service so you will hear various people giving responses to discussion questions.
