Drawing on Proverbs 1:1-7 and Proverbs 3:1-12, Steve kicks off our new sermon series on the book of Proverbs with an explanation of how Solomon came to ask for wisdom – a trait that is still much needed in our society and world.
He gives us an overview of the purpose and theme of Proverbs and explores what fearing the Lord looks like, given that it is the beginning of all wisdom.
He leaves us with some personal challenges about where we stand in terms of our openness to ask for and to receive God’s wisdom.
