Jo started us off on a new mini series looking at some of the Psalms, particularly those written by King David – shepherd, musician, poet, diplomat, politician and warrior. He wrote over half of the psalms that we have in our Bible today, and many of them relate to key points in his life.
Psalm 18 is thought to be written towards the end of his 40-year reign, at a time when he knew that war was approaching, threats from surrounding nations as well as his own rebellious family. As well as being a personal testimony of David’s life and faith, it is a glorious declaration of God’s power, protection and faithfulness.
