This term we have been looking at people who met Jesus and the impact he had on their lives. One of the people who met Jesus was Zacchaeus. The children learnt about some of the ways we can all change when we meet Jesus. They were sent home with a dirty penny as a reminder that no matter how dirty we are on the inside with the wrong things we think or do or say, Jesus can make us clean again. The older children were also challenged to think about some changes they could make in their own lives this week.
And of course, the story of Zacchaeus wouldn’t be complete without a tree!
